A Salute to North Carolinians

A Salute to North Carolinians

The people of North Carolina, along with those of thirty other states, have spoken with conviction and clarity. By a vote of 2 to 1 they have once again proclaimed that marriage is defined as the Word of God defines it, a man and a woman. That’s right, not two men and not two women. When our Creator brought forth a man He was incomplete.  God then proceeded to fashion a woman to fulfill mans needs (Genesis 2:20). Frankly one does not have to be a rocket scientist to understand the physiological differences between a man and a woman and to see that they fit each other. Just observe the human body! Now do not misunderstand what I am saying here. I believe every person has the right to choose how they want to live their life. In addition each person must understand that they and they alone will be responsible for the consequences of their choices. The problem is that these who tirelessly continue to politicize this issue demand that we the people, who accept the Word of God and believe that marriage is ordained of God for an imperfect people, surrender to their rhetoric and legalize their choice in face of the obvious facts that have defined marriage in every civilized society. Live together outside marriage if you like. Share your life with a member of the same sex if you like. It is your right to do so. However, it is not your right to demand the majority of us recognize your choice and accept it to be the same as Biblically defined marriage. It is sad and disappointing that our President, VP and others in positions of national leadership see this as being divisive while it is clear their stance is politically motivated. By the way, we have seen and continue to see the results of these relationships in our society. Further, scholars in every facet of sociology and medical science overwhelmingly agree that traditional marriage is by far the better choice for any and every society, providing a more stable framework for the propagation and preservation of same. Oh, one final thought. Once a person comes to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and allows God to change them, they understand marriage!

Just my thoughts.
