21 Aug Representative Akin: Please Don’t Quit!
Liberals distort the facts and blatantly lie on a daily basis and the mainstream media ignores this without remorse. Rarely when the media does bother to note this, the scoundrel simply apologizes and continues on doing the same thing again and again. Yet, when a conservative, in this case Representative Akin (R- MO) who is running against Democrat Claire McCaskill for the US Senate, fails to clearly articulate his Pro Life position he is urged to quit the race.
First, it should be noted that in this interview (although I did not see it but I suspect he was being drilled over his Pro Life stance) he was most likely being asked why he would as a Pro Lifer would be opposed to all abortions considering those who suffer pregnancy from Rape. This is the same old tactic the left always uses. They want to talk about the 32K pregnancies annually due to rape and ignore the 1.2 million abortions performed for convenience sake. OK, so lets say, for argument purposes, we Pro Lifers will agree to the abortions due to Rape. Will the Pro Choice crowd then go along so we can stop the murder of 1.2 million of our alive yet unborn every single year? I can answer that question, No they will not!
Second, let’s not forget some facts. Mr. Akin was stating information gleaned from an often quoted source which he had either read or was told about. Dr. Fred Mecklenberg wrote an article in 1972 entitled, “The Indications for Induced Abortion: A Physician’s Perspective,” in which he discussed how the female body “shuts down” the ovation process due to trauma. While I cannot report all his findings in this brief blog I can say there is a substantial body of work which presents and supports these findings.
Third, the Conservatives need to get off his back and support this Pro Life candidate so we can oust the liberal McCaskill in Missouri and take another seat from the Democrats in the Senate. The guy is human and probably should have been more specific, but no one is right all the time! I say, thank you Mr. Akin for taking a stand and speaking up for those who cannot!
Just My Thoughts.
