The Responsibility of Voting

The Responsibility of Voting

Almost daily I speak with people who are so frustrated with the political process they have decided not to vote. I always remind them that men and women have died for the freedoms we take so lightly today and that voting is one of those freedoms. This unique nation was founded upon religious freedom and as such, the freedom to vote and make our choices known. No, the system isn’t perfect and yes, there are those who work to subvert the system, but it is the best in the world. That said, each and every American who has the privilege of casting their vote should understand their responsibility to due their duty and go to the polls. Please allow me to remind each of us that if we do not vote for a candidate, we are in effect casting a vote for the opponent. As a conservative who votes on moral values as opposed to economic ones, I will not vote for a candidate who is a proponent of the murder of our alive yet unborn. Sadly, we do not have much to choose from these days but we cannot afford to not participate, we must vote. I pray each and every one of us will do our duty as an American. Please take time to wade through the issues and for freedoms sake go to the poll and let’s do our duty! Just my thoughts.
